Responsibilities

The Personal Lines Underwriter will underwrite new business, endorsements, claims and correspondence within the assigned authority levels and in accordance with company guidelines. The successful candidate will develop and maintain relationships with assigned brokers in order to achieve department and corporate goals.

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • Minimum 3 years related experience

  • CIP designation or progression toward completion

  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite of products considered an asset

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

  • Strong analytical and judgment skills required

  • Highly organized to manage workflow efficiently

  • This position is subject to appropriate background checks that may include, credential, employment, credit, criminal and reference check.
